Billing & seats

Team and Enterprise prices, trials, licensed capacity and owner controls.

Payments are not enabled yet. Installskills shows plans and licensed-seat pricing, but Checkout, the billing portal and subscription mutations remain unavailable until Stripe is connected.

Billing belongs to an organization vault. Personal Vault is free, and agent connections are not billed separately. Prices are shown before applicable tax.

Plans and prices

PlanLicensed capacityPrice
PersonalOne userFree
Team Free1–5 licensesFree
Team6–49 licenses€10/license/month, or €96/license/year
EnterpriseAny capacity; required from 50€29/license/month in EUR

When Team reaches six licenses, all six are paid: 6 × €10 = €60/month. Forty licenses cost €400/month. Enterprise is optional below 50 when the organization needs SSO, and required at 50 or more.

Existing Team subscriptions with four or five licenses become Team Free at their next billing period. Members and invitations are not removed.

Who can do what

Only an owner can start Checkout, register or change payment details, increase or reduce licensed capacity, cancel a subscription, and see amounts or invoices. An admin can see licensed, used, reserved and available capacity, but not financial information.

Owners and admins can invite members and admins. Only an owner can grant owner access; direct owner invitations are not available.

Used, reserved and available seats

CountMeaning
LicensedCapacity selected by the owner.
UsedActive memberships, including owners.
ReservedPending invitations that have not expired.
AvailableLicensed minus used and reserved.

A pending invitation reserves one seat. Accepting it converts the reservation into a membership without consuming a second seat. Revoking it or letting it expire releases the seat. Concurrent attempts to take the last seat are checked atomically.

An SSO login creates a membership just in time and takes one available seat. If capacity is full, no membership or automatic charge is created; the login is blocked and owners are notified to add capacity. Assigning a person in Okta, OneLogin or Google Workspace does not reserve a seat because Installskills does not see that assignment until login (SCIM is not included in this version).

Start and manage Team

Creating a Team Vault with up to five seats does not require a card. Selecting 6–49 opens Stripe Checkout. Increases use an exact Stripe proration preview and activate only after successful payment. Reductions take effect at renewal and cannot be lower than used plus reserved capacity.

Reducing a paid Team to five or fewer schedules Team Free for the next renewal. If paid Team is cancelled with more than five occupied seats, governance pauses at period end until capacity is reduced or a new subscription is started. Approved skills remain readable and installable.

Start Enterprise

Choose Start Enterprise in Billing, select licensed capacity, and complete Stripe Checkout. The full plan starts with a 14-day trial and no card is required. Add a payment method from Billing before the displayed end date to continue automatically at €29 per license/month. Enterprise v1 is monthly and EUR only; there is no annual option.

Every Enterprise member sees a compact, persistent trial notice below the top bar with the exact end date and days remaining. If renewal was cancelled, the notice says so. Financial amounts, payment-method status and billing controls remain visible only to owners.

After Checkout, Billing opens the persistent Enterprise SSO onboarding. Standard Google/email access can be activated without SSO. Okta, OneLogin and Google Workspace SAML can be configured self-service.

Support can extend a trial by a variable number of days. Every extension records the previous end, new end, reason and support actor, and starts a new idempotent 7-, 3- and 1-day reminder cycle for owners. Reminders appear in the bell and are emailed according to each owner's Billing notification preference.

Owners can increase Enterprise capacity immediately, schedule reductions, or cancel at the trial/current-period boundary. Payment failures enter the normal grace and recovery flow; owners receive the financial notifications.

If the trial ends without a payment method, its state becomes Trial expired: invitations, submissions, approvals, grants, SSO and other Enterprise governance changes pause, but existing data and approved versions remain readable and installable from the web and connected agents. The owner can choose Reactivate Enterprise in Billing. Reactivation requires a card, charges the first monthly period immediately and never creates a second trial for that Vault.
